Why This Must Be Read: I really love a good Amanda/Sarek origin story, and along with StarTrekFanWriter's "The Native" and Notesfromtheclassroom's "The Prodigal Son" (both of which have been recced here) this is one of my absolute favorites. This story has Sarek and Amanda meeting for the first time on Vulcan, where Amanda is part of an experimental cultural exchange. Amanda is young, eager, intelligent, and totally confused by the young ambassador's hot and cold behavior. Sarek is also portrayed as being young, and his initial reaction to being attracted to a human is...not positive. George and Winona Kirk (pre-marriage) also make welcome appearances. Lovely writing and sympathetic characters make this a wonderful read. The author is taking November off to participate in NaNoWriMo, but I have no reason to think she won't return to this story soon.

Why This Must Be Read: This story takes place after the series finale. Dani ends up back at work before Crews and gets partnered up with Seevers. I really enjoyed Dani's interaction with Seevers and the slow realization of her feelings for Crews. The voices in this story are perfectly done and it makes me miss this show something awful.

Why This Must Be Read: Girl likes boy. Girl likes another boy. Boy is the same person. —Robin/Artemis/Dick. This is a rather an awesome fic that first converted me to the idea of Dick/Artemis. It's season one fic, so it has them still young. I just absolutely love the whole Artemis/Dick verses Artemis/Robin aspect of this, though you kind feel like "poor Artemis, she has no clue." Still, fun and well written.
