Why This Must Be Read: Recently, I discovered "Life" and went on search for something Crews/Reese, since this pairing intrigued me right from the beginning because of their issues and their wonderful screwdness. When I found this story, I found exactly what I was looking for. Strong prose, vivid imagery, someone who managed to capture both Crews and Reese perfectly in their imperfection, insecurity and the complicated relationship they have with each other. I don't read much stories with really explicit sex scenes, but the ones in this story were perfectly fitting the plot, artfully described and a pleasure to read. The tension between Crews and Reese is delightful and you just have to read on an on, straight until the end, to see if they manage to rescue each other from themselves. 

There's also a sequel, "Past, Present and Perfection" which picks up some time later, to show how things have progressed between them. It's a bit lighter than the previous one but still very much in character and a joy to read, just as its predecessor.
