Why This Must Be Read: This is my favorite piece of Lord of the Rings fanfiction ever. It takes a little change and builds upon it. Eowyn's decisions make sense in the context of the story and build much sympathy for her character and the world around her. The world building is also really well done, giving a look at the effects of the War on the lands that fought with Mordor.The pairing flows naturally out of the story and the romance, while very well done, plays second to the adventure.
