Fandom Category: Persuasion
Pairing: Anne Elliot/Frederick Wentworth
Fic Title: Armistice Summer
Author: Reading Redhead
Link: here
Rating/Warning(s): G
Genre: Romance
WIP?: No
Special Rec: 17/31
Why This Must Be Read: You know those fics you never knew you wanted until you read them? This is one of those stories for me. This story goes back to 1806 and fills in pre-canon details of Anne and Frederick's first courtship that we don't get from the novel itself. Really sweet and appropriate, I can absolutely see their first courtship going just like this.

WIP?: No

Why This Must Be Read: So I admit, one of my favorite things about Yuletide is the fact that you can find Austen fic for books other than P&P (not that I don't love P&P, but I love the others as well); this was another one of this year's standouts. A glimpse into the future married life of Wentworth and Anne. What I love most about this particularly fic is that it fits in so well with Austen's writing style, and in particular, with the general tone of the novel.
