By the end, I was sorely tempted, if only I could get over a) how utterly devastated I was and b) how in love with her language I was. There are two things that split people on this: it's movieverse, and that's anathema to some people, and it's Susan/Caspian, which is... also anathema to some people.

This is the alternate universe in which the Pevensies don't leave Narnia at the end of Prince Caspian and it's wonderfully teased out in every respect. The characters as both rulers and people, Narnia as state of mind and kingdom - kitoky has a great way of portraying all of the layers succinctly and perfectly. Also, I use tragedy in the dramatic sense as well as to warn about the death toll: watching the Narnian rulers from a stable status quo and the consequences of a few small actions as they play out to their conclusion is heart-rending, made even more so by the understated, natural comedy at the start and the competency and sensible characters as they're portrayed.
