Why This Must Be Read: Set during/after The Bourne Ultimatum, we find Jason following Nicky, though he isn't sure why until a memory surfaces that turns his world upside down. The memory is so carefree and happy (as much as it can be under the circumstances) and when he confronts her, it all comes back. It's heartbreaking to read how he yearns for something he never knew he had lost and how Nicky more or less gave up after he 'forgot'. The ending though makes up for all the angst.
