Why This Must Be Read: Because this story is drenched in gorgeousness and warm feelings and that first heady rush of new love and make outs. I read somewhere once that the punting scene in Gaudy Night is a thirty page vacation in the midst of a mystery novel - if that's the case, then this story is the capstone to that, filling in the blanks of the novel where "...it all happened quite late on Sunday evening, and they sat up half the night, kissing one another madly in a punt." This story is literate, sexy, and reads exactly like Sayers (which is astonishingly hard to do). I cannot recommend this story enough.
