Why This Must Be Read: To be honest, this is not a pairing I ship when I watch the show. I don’t really ship anyone as it’s more about the individual characters for me. However, this is a sensational take of how Carrie/Brody could have happened. It’s got some BRILLIANT Carrie backstory that paints a compelling picture of the character we get, and the build-up and execution of the Carrie/Brody components are incredibly believable. This is the only fic I’ve read in this fandom, and it’s made me wary of going in search for more because it’s just. that. good.
