het_reccersMade it!! 30 fandoms and 98 recs! (It would have been over 100, but some of them were recced in the Ship Manifesto or before I got to the particular fandom. I'm trying not to duplicate - hopefully I've been somewhat successful.) I hope everyone has enjoyed the month and gotten some new fics to read. Here is my last fandom for my special month.

Why This Must Be Read: Three years after Klaus was dealt with and Damon chose to leave, most of the group decided to travel. There was one person left behind; one person who was not invited. Abandoned, her visions ignored, Bonnie must deal with a new evil taking root in Fells Church. Alone. At least until Damon saunters back into town. I liked this story. In the books, Elena made me want to grit my teeth with her attitude, but Bonnie was a fun, lovely character. The last scene between her and Damon in the book makes this story believable for me. And its nice to see Damon getting the chance to be the hero instead of Stefan.

Why This Must Be Read: I tripped over this fic accidentally. I was not even looking at Vampire Diaries - I was looking for Doctor Who fics. I read one I liked, clicked on the author to see what else had been written, and poof! Bonnie/Damon! This is a lovely long fic with lots of twists, turns, and surprises. It's got romance, sarcasm, adventure, snark, and sorrow balanced by humor. Trust me, this one is definitely worth the time.
