Reading this is like being punched in the stomach and left breathless. Post the BDM this story does not have a happy ending. The crew that survived are leaving the ship one by one as the darkness creeps through it. The only ones left in the end are Mal, Kaylee and Jayne and Jayne can't stand it...

Jayne and Kaylee's relationship in this is bitter-sweet and beautiful, but not enough to counteract the darkness and despair generated by their Captain. This isn't a happy story, but it's moving and gets better every time I read it.

Why This Must Be Read:
In contrast to the last fic of Rinny's this is light, fluffy and fun. Kaylee finds something out about Jayne and knows she's in trouble... I love the fact that the sexing isn't perfect, but both Kaylee and Jayne are satisfied anyway. The last line just brings together the whole story and leaves you with a grin on your face.
