Why This Must Be Read: I originally read this on LJ, but I haven't been able to find all the chapters again (they sadly weren't linked together), thankfully it was also posted at ff.net. A lovely way, and realistic way that summer could have gone for Tony and Ziva, after Gibbs left and they only felt they had each other to turn too. It sticks to canon very well and it's rather sweet to see Tony and Ziva this way.

Why This Must Be Read: This takes place after "Bury Your Dead" and it changes one thing-Jeanne dies. But in this fic her death isn't done in a malicious way, the way some people might approach it, her death is done heartbreaking (and off-screen) and it reverberates in Tony is deep and painful ways. Tony here grieves and Ziva, plus the rest of them, stand by him, even when he does want them too.

Why This Must Be Read: Written for the Porn Battle this year on DW, this is a funny, sexy fic about want and then getting what you want. Ziva's voice here is great and particularly endearing while being amusing at the same time. Ziva is the type of woman that when she sets her eyes on something, she goes after it. Plus hot porny times. *shoos*

FYI: there's one last Ziva centric fic that didn't quiet fit the ship requirement (for me, anyway), but I rec it over here.
