Why This Must Be Read: I don't have the words to give this story the recommendation it deserves. The premise is intriguing - Penny in California, Sheldon off doing research at the pole - but the execution is brilliant. I rarely encounter this quality of storytelling in published fiction.

Nerd trash talking!cereal is probably the most recommended author in the fandom, and for good reason; she had a lock on Penny's voice that is second to none. It's also nice to see a BBT fic that doesn't draw the obvious parallel between Spock/Uhura and Sheldon/Penny.

Why This Must Be Read: One of the sweetest S/P stories I've read, and the illustrations are incredible. It's just a short vignette that gives a glimpse into a pivotal moment in the development of Sheldon and Penny's relationship, but the characters feel so well-rounded that the story is as satisfying as any long, plotty fic. Don't miss out on reading the comments, either - there are sketches and drabbles from the creators.
