Why This Must Be Read: If I had to pick only xxx number of fic's to read for the rest of my life, and that was it, no more, no less, then this fic would be in the top three, no contest. The writing is clear, the imagery beautiful. There's touching and angst and hope and love. It's complicated and it's simple, and if the PTB ever do decide to finally deliver on what they've spent years torturing us with, then this is the way it should happen. This fic, in a word, is brilliant.

Why This Must Be Read: It's pretty much a requirement in the Elizabeth/Jack 'ship side of the PotC fandom that if you're going to write them, at least one of your fic's has to be post-Dead Man's Chest (and a rehash of that kiss), so it's always a lovely surprise when you come across one that stands out. With clear writing, spot on characterisations, and pitch-perfect dialogue, Glinda shows us a glimpse as to what could have been after the credits rolled, but before the next title card appeared. Just lovely.

Why This Must Be Read: Nicely paced, this story will keep you wondering until the end just how it's all going to turn out. At turns sweet and sad, this is a lovely look at a pairing that never really worked out the way it should have.

Why This Must Be Read: This is a sweet, sort of melancholy piece that shows us five years after All About Eve. It's a story about the after-effects of survival; a snapshot of a future we never got to see (but should have, damnit). Beautifully written, this is my go-to fic for Earth 2.

Why This Must Be Read: Ever wondered what happened to Hotlips and Hawkeye after? Djinn takes a fairly common what-if (Hotlips and Hawkeye reunite in America) but does so in one of the most realistic ways I've seen yet. Just like in the show, these characters are not perfect. They have flaws, they have issues-- they may have survived the war, but their battles aren't over yet. The writing is clear and easy to read, the second-person pov handled extremely well. You can't help but feel for this Hotlips and Hawkeye.
