Why This Must Be Read: Unfortunately, this story (novella?) is no longer available on the web. Thanks to the Wayback Machine, however, this doesn't mean it's lost forever. Set early on in the series, this is a what if that probably crossed everyone's minds at least once -- what would have happened if Sydney was compromised by SD6? Lara takes that what if and shows us how Vaughn handles losing his Bristow unexpectedly, and the choices he makes thereafter.
