Why This Must Be Read: This one-shot is delightful. Afrai’s wonderfully dry wit is a perfect complement to Ouran’s inherent cracktasticness. And her characterization? Divine. I adore her Haruhi in all her blunt, unsentimental glory, and you will love her Tamaki’s scene-stealing, bombastic melodrama. This isn’t a typical romance--indeed could you think of 2 people less romantic than Haruhi and Kyouya? Still, there’s a lovely affectionate sweetness underlying Kyouya’s mercenary, strictly-business internal monologue that is so compelling, as evinced by the following excerpt:
