Why This Must Be Read: With little shout-outs to both sets of source material, "Where No One Can Find Me" posits that Carmen and Waldo have met and, in their own international-criminal-meets-worldwide-wanderer way, fallen for each other.  But despite their common itinerant lifestyles thing always tend to be a little more complicated than anyone wants.  This fic is more of a snapshot of a story, and the author leans a bit too much on exposition, but it's a fun premise with clever results.

Why This Must Be Read: Carmen/Waldo is probably the greatest crack pairing ever (and yes, I've read a Snape/Jesus slashfic, thank you), and [livejournal.com profile] where_inthewrld is a fun little community that celebrates this.  As a result, I'm taking it upon myself to promote several awesome fics featuring this pairing.  In "Track," the two encounter each other as strangers on a train--Carmen bold and flirtatious, Waldo friendly and a little bit awkward.  It's a short little snapshot, but a fun one that leaves you wanting to know more about both mysterious travelers.
