Why This Must Be Read: Mac and Dick are one messed up couple with a hell of a lot of baggage behind them, all of it courtesy of Cassidy, but for some reason they intrigue me and I'm not even a big Dick fan. Still, I think this fic shows why they could work. Both of them are still in the grieving process, but they're trying to get on with their lives, Mac more productively than Dick. Great voices, there are some perfect lines scatter in the middle of this fic, which is about friendship and maybe something new.

Why This Must Be Read: Along the vein of the last fic, this fic too is almost mostly dealing with Dick and Mac's friendship after Cassidy, but there's enough little moments to read ship from. Dick's voice is perfect here; funny mixed with mean, and mostly inappropriate. Mac is lovely, taking with ease all the crazy Dick throws her way. This is also the way I really would see their friendship/relationship going if Dick stopped his jerky ways, towards Mac, at least.
