It is in the X-Men (X3: The Last Stand) movie-verse, so anyone that has seen the movie can easily pick up where this story takes off from.

This is probably the best thing to come out of that last movie. *winks* Seriously, I really enjoyed the way this story was written. I didn't want this story to end, and I still hold out hope that there may be some sort of follow up.
