Why This Must Be Read: There is not a lot of Medium fic out there. This both saddens and pleases me as the relationship onscreen is incredibly strong and there really doesn't need to be more, but I definitely had the need for some early Joe/Allison. This story filled that need. It's a relationship origin story but done in a very gentle and interesting way. Mind you, that's a pretty good description for Allison and Joe's relationship (along with fiery, passionate, loving, and tender.) This is a strong story for a very small fandom, and it totally deserves a read.

Why This Must Be Read: I swear this author must have kidnapped David Tennant and has him handcuffed to her computer because this story has the best Ten voice that I have ever come across in the fandom. She perfectly captures the Tenth Doctor in all his hilarity as well as the underlining loneliness that is present in any incarnation of the Doctor. The excerpts of Tennyson's In Memoriam A.H.H. add nicely to the story of a Doctor that knows that Rose will not be able to stay with him forever, and whose actions because of that fact have pushed Rose to the breaking point.

Why This Must Be Read: The Series 2 finale gave us the the anticipated return of The Master, but he showed up on our tv screens alongside a companion of his own. Bless follows the Saxons from beginning to end (and beyond). Showing two people that found in each other exactly what they had always been looking for; never mind that they're both batshit crazy.

Why This Must Be Read: Thor beams Jack and Sam up to his ship in the middle of the night and informs them that they have to make a baby in order to save the future of the Asgard race. Everyone of course finds this hilarious, except our two favorite Air Force officers. But, what really makes this fic a classic is how the author has Jack and Sam get to know one another without the excuse of military regulations in the way. There were of course always feelings between them, but Eve8 is able to turn the prospect of what those feelings represented into love.

This is an amazing tale, set in the DC universe *handwavy* after No Man's Land in the Batman comics. (If you have no idea what that means, that's ok- you can read about it here, or you can get what you need to know from the context clues, it's not a huge detail)

This is the fic that made me a true believer in the potential of this pairing. The portrayals of the characters here are extremely rich. A challenge with Batman is that he is actually three people: The persona of Bruce Wayne - spoiled playboy, The Batman - grim uncompromising defender of Gotham, and Bruce- the kid who lost his parents. Adrian portrays all three facets of the character in a way which is a joy to read. Diana too is handled well, shown as an idealist who has been thrust into the very best and very worst of the world and who has been able to retain her hope in humanity...if now with a somewhat wry sense of humor and more worldly outlook. Given the nature of Bruce Wayne's dual life, she is left to deal with the public fallout and sensation.

They tease. They spar verbally. They have no idea what they're doing any more than anyone else does. They are completely endearing as they struggle through the myriad of emotional and practical issues they must face as what began as a simple favor becomes far more complex.

And then there are always issues when the girl's mother is an immortal amazon warrior queen who doesn't exactly like the idea of her daughter dating anyone, much less the world's biggest playboy.

There are cameos by a host of other characters who react to theis must unlikely of pairs: Superman, Nightwing, Martian Manhunter and Alfred to name a few. The fic has tons of humor and moments of dawwww, you just need to read it to see them all.
