Why This Must Be Read: As much as it is about Elizabeth and Will's relationship and how it endured during the years he was on The Dutchman, it's about how Elizabeth lived her life during those years. Possibly the closest fic I've read to how things probably progress between the time Will left Elizabeth on the beach and when you see her on the cliff.

Why This Must Be Read: What I like about this fic is that it gives equally credence to both ships, never pitting one against the other, never making one more important than the other either. Another way Elizabeth's life could have gone after the At World's End. It handles the "triangle", even though I've never seen in such defined terms, realistically with and added dose of maturity that comes from seeing that not all things are as simple as life would have you think.
