Why This Must Be Read: This was my first attempt at reading a Vampire Diaries fic. The plot summary grabbed me and once I started reading, there really was no stopping. I didn't predict where the story was going to end up, which is always a nice bonus in fics. I was mostly surprised to find how much I enjoyed Elena/Damon, and I attribute that entirely to how well the author writes. I've still been shipping Elena/Stefan, despite Season 3, but I think that maybe changing now! Elena has a wonderful emotional arch throughout this story and Damon is...well, Damon (of the new and improved variety).

Why This Must Be Read: Molly Hooper had around ten minutes of time on screen, yet the possibilities she posses are amazing. In this story the author weave such an amazing tail of obsession and change that you almost wish that it was cannon.

Why This Must Be Read: I had the pleasure of beta-ing for this fic, and it was so much fun because it was so wonderfully written. The dynamic between Sif and Loki is fantastic. Their relationship is so deliciously complicated, yet easy and familiar, and the author absolutely nails it. The characters' dialogue is just spot-on, especially Darcy, and the story builds to such an excellent ending. Another Big Bang fic that I just devoured!!

Why This Must Be Read: arrested development, may you live forever. this fic does a nice job of showing a post-canon GM and maeby and how they might find some sort of happiness together. the humor isn’t forced, like it is in some AD fics, and there are a couple (funny!) references to the other members of the bluth clan.
