Why This Must Be Read: Again, Nan Smith is pretty much my favorite Lois and Clark author EVER. She's written a TON of stuff, all of it top quality. Nan's characterization is a joy, and brings me back to 1996 in full flush of love with this series. However, this little series stands out because it really works with canon and nails the episodic tone of the show. Plus! There's a murder mystery weekend!

What This Must Be Read: When I saw the request for Lucius/Narcissa I thought of this older fic, and it also goes with the "smut" theme. In the interest of full disclosure, I was the beta for this, but all credit certainly goes to the author. It contains a hot scene between them, with nice details like Lucius's attention to Narcissa's hair. Little touches remind the reader that Lucius is no romantic hero, and that Narcissa never wanted that anyway.

After a few seconds, she rolled her eyes, though it looked more for herself than him. "It's--" She sighed heavily and lifted her head. "Clark--"

"Of course." He'd suspected as much, though he'd hoped it was more than that. Different than that. Everything, for Chloe, came back to Clark. He was the planet she orbited and it disappointed him. She had such potential.
