Why This Must Be Read: A Young Justice AU set to "The Breakfast Club." Need I say more? No, but seriously, the casting in this was flawless, and the characterization of each person shined through surprisingly well for transplanting them into a new non-superhero setting. Especially Artemis, whose loud-mouth casting as Bender is just epically awesome. It's got a deft touch and hits all the spots that made the Breakfast Club movie so classic, and yet balances that out with the YJ characterization.

Mazikeen isn't a character we often see vulnerable. Even when she's defeated physically, that iron core is still there. But this story does a great job of exploring Mazikeen when she breaks down, and Lucifer shows the side of him that we never get to see in the comics, except when it comes to her.

Why This Must Be Read: This fic is beautifully written, and I have to say that I love the idea of Castle leading Kate on a scavenger hunt. For this only, it's completely in-character (because Castle can do that of course). It's funny, it's romantic, and I have to warn you that you'll tissues at one point. I can really see something like this happening in the show. The link is to part one, but there are links to other parts at the bottom of each chapter. ;)
