Why This Must Be Read: There are any number of delightful fanfics out there in which the courtship of Pippin Took is explored. In this one, we have a very different Diamond than is usually portrayed: she's not particularly spunky, and she's rather shy. I love Pippin's efforts to draw her out.
Pippin is depicted as having had a few other experiences before falling in love with Diamond, which creates its own complications.
But one of my favorite parts of this story is how Pippin's three older sisters are portrayed! Diamond finds protectors in Pearl, Pimpernel and Pervinca!
