Why This Must Be Read: Brilliant story. If you're in this phandom, you've probably seen this recced before--and deservedly so. Like a lot of great AUs, it starts off with a logical, story-driven "What If?": "What if Christine did not have the resolve to approach Erik as his 'living bride' when Raoul and the Persian are in the torture chamber?" The author maintains Leroux's style perfectly. *This* is morbid Erik/Christine at its best.

Why This Must Be Read: Whoa. I thought at first this was going to be an Erik-apologist fic, but it isn't. It so isn't. Sickening and scary yet strangely sad for all the characters. Seriously amazing piece of writing, that literally haunted my dreams for days.

Why This Must Be Read: This story is perfection. I'm not exaggerating. A sensual, passionate tale, with a true sense of history, this is one of the few EC phics that do not sweep all of Erik's and Christine's issues with each other under the rug. (I could make an obvious joke about a Persian rug here, but I won't.) Wandering Child does not bash nor sugarcoat any of her characters.

Hello,

I am sorry to bother you, but I was wondering if you have a copy of "Demons" by Wandering Child? She has removed the story from her fanfiction profile, and there are no other places on the net where it's available. I have tried contacting her to get a copy, but I have yet to receive a response. I really loved this story (and I agree with the praise you've given it) and I was really hoping to read it again. If you don't have a copy, would you happen to know anyone who does?
