Why This Must Be Read: Bedford Falls is my favorite (and the most realistic) Josh/Donna AU fic that I have read in the fandom. In this universe Donna never made it to New Hampshire to help with the Bartlet campaign, and meets Josh Lyman in a DC bar years later. Josh is a little more broken, and Donna a little less idealistic than in canon, but it works.
