Why This Must Be Read: I'm linking to the main page where all the stories are located and they are set up in the order they should be read starting from Red Dragon. These are in my opinion THE BEST Dragonball fanfics I've ever come across. What they (all) manage to build is outstanding. It remixes, fixes, and improves upon certain aspects the anime left hanging. While the anime was full of action and long arching plotlines it also was very light. This fic explores all the darker aspects that the anime hinted at but never fully touched upon. It gives Chi-Chi, who after DragonBall was pushed into the background and painted very one dimensionally, so much more agency and things to do. It makes Bulma even smarter and cooler than the anime did. It makes Saiyans more than just Super Awesome Fighters. It also plays with a few DBZ fanfic tropes, but does it the best I've ever seen. One of my favourite fics ever.
