Why This Must Be Read: Let’s go along with the assumption Bellatrix Lestrange was unable to carry a child, and was discarded from her husband and her death eaters clique for it. Left for dead, Bellatrix has nothing to live for until she finds a recently orphaned Harry Potter and steals him away, before anyone can discover Harry survived the massacre. She raises him as hers in her new condition of pauper and outcast after Voldemort’s downfall, and grows to love the kid above anything.  Young Antares – this how Bella names him- is a true born Slytherin, cunning and self-serving but also brave and hopelessly devoted to his mother. Everything changes when Severus meets mother and son, and the kid eventually enrolls Hogwarts opening the way to a new reality where you get to know Slytherin House in a way you never imagined you could love so much. And the sexual relationship that develops eventually between a semi-redeemed Bella and Snape is just as memorable. Also the Weasley's brother's overly dramatic reaction when Ginny gets enrolled in Slytherin too, is priceless to read.

Jesterlady has an excellent Cameron voice, and in this dialogue it really shows.

Why This Must Be Read: If I had to pick out exactly what I wanted in terms of the eventual Alicia/Will relationship, this would be it. Plus, it deals with her marriage to Peter in such an adult way that's reflective of the way we see Alicia deal with her marriage on the show. Really great characterization, not just with the romantic relationships, but with Alicia's relationship with Kalinda, another highlight of the show for me. So many fantastic lines and descriptions in this. Basically, an all-around excellent piece.
